wheel balance weights are made by Trax JH Ltd, one of Europe's
largest producers. The company specialises in the design and manufacture
of weights to Original Equipment (OE) specifications to ensure
good performance and consistent quality.
Weights
are designed and tested to meet OE levels of performance and the
company has pioneered the use of cam-backed weights
to ensure the highest levels of retention. Cam-backed weights are
in use by OE
companies for both steel and alloy wheels now in ZINC as
a lead-free material.
European
legislation (2000/53/EC) has banned lead as a material for balance
weights and Trax has developed a range of lead-free weights using
zinc, steel, copper, and tin. Studies of different materials concluded
that no one material offered the best solution as a lead alternative.
A
wide experience of balance weight, design manufacturing and marketing
is available within the company. Trax is approved to the latest
quality standard ISO 9001:2000.
